Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

It is my uncle and he was killed during the 2nd world war . I am trying to find out as much information as possible about him to add into our family tree.
(requested on 24 02 2014)
I have recently met up with Uncle Stanley's daughter, whom I have not seen for 50 years. She has been talking about her father who died when she was little. She admits that she is not conversant with technology so I would like to get what information I can for her. I have given her a press cutting from the local paper reporting how the two brothers, Stanley and my father Herbert, met in France when their regiments were stationed locally. This must have been pre-1944 but I have no date for it. I would be so grateful to receive a photograph for her to keep. Thank you so much.
