Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

It has been reported that he also has a monument in the states, which I have also requested a photo of. I want to determine which location is the actual burial, which is a cenotaph. Without your incredibly valuable site, this determination would not begin to happen. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Anne Stevens, Taphophiles, Inc., Merced, CA.

Dear Sir or Ma'am, I am an active duty US Army officer serving in the UK at RAF Molesworth. I grew up in and around Washington DC and was amazed to stumble upon the above monument while on holiday in Pickering. This monument to the family that surveyed DC and have such a connection to Yorkshire is wonderful. My husband is from Yorkshire so we are enjoying this small link between our personal histories. I also find the plaque for the US Ambassador fascinating. It was too dark for me to take a photo and I would love a copy of yours if possible.Kindest Regards,Jennifer WabalsLTC, US Army
