Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

This is probably my Grandfathers brother, who I did not know was buried in Gayton church. Thankyou Nigel Cross

It will be user as a media item for mine and my wife's family tree. John Stringer Cross is my wife's 2nd great uncle. The Herbert Gregory Cross referred to, I think is partially wrong. My wife is Patricia Ann Gregory and Herbert Gregory was her grandfather, killed in action in 1917. Herbert Gregory married Jane Elizabeth Cross in Norfolk in 1911. I have been able to establish that Jane Elizabeth's father was Robert Stringer Cross who was one of John Stringer Cross's brothers.
(requested on 22 05 2016)
Herbert Gregory is my 1st cousin 3x removed. My great-great grandfather William Gregory emigrated to the USA in 1871.
