Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I want to instill a sense of roots and security in my children. First and foremost by their faith in God, and secondly by showing them that they have a natural history. We have visited old cemetaries (by American standards) and looked at headstones and imagined the lives of people we have never met. I felt that they (my kids) would be excited to see a gravestone with our family name, from our country of origin. Thank-you for the work you have put into this website, it was a delightful surprise to stumble upon, and yes, we can all be so ungrateful at times for another's labor of love.
