Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I have been researching my friend's family history, as her old aunt told her that her grandfather (my friend's great grandfather) was born 'the wrong side of the blanket' and that they were related to the Lubbock family (his middle name of Lubbock and his surname was his mother's maiden name.) Through birth, marriage and death certificates, plus census and parish records, I have discovered that her forebear was the Rev. John Lubbock of Scottow. I hope this will be sufficient.
