Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I am descended from Robert Fergusson brother of Adam Fergusson (whose writings inspired the writers of the Declaration of Independence). They lived in their growing up years at Logeriat. Robert, the youngest, left home and went to sea, eventually settling in Rhode Island but remaining loyal to the Crown. He had a son Robert who may have married a Margaret Simme but neither of their wives is definitely found in records by me. I know I am descended from the younger Robert's daughter Mary Ann. Comrie comes up as a possible area he spent his later years.
