Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

The family of William Fraser is related to that of Luke Fraser (also Canongate) -- who are in turn linked to me in some way I am still trying to figure out (Fraser/Frazer/Frizzels of Glenmaid, Kirkmahoe).
(requested on 01 11 2012)
I'm working on my family's Scottish history. My grandfather, John Fraser II, was born May 16, 1883 to John I and Annie Fraser. John I's parents were William and Margaret (Wilkie) Fraser. I know that William is deceased by 1882. John I and Annie were married and resided in Edinburgh, Midlothian. With the options listed by the database search, I am hoping that this headstone may be the William (my great-great-grandfather)for whom I am looking, and that I'll discover additional information from the gravestone's test. Thank you. Kimberley Fraser
