Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Sydney is another of my Crawford relations (first cousin twice removed). He and his brothers were the sons of John William Crawford whose father Jonathan owned Jonathan Crawford and Sons Woollen Mills in Leeds in the second half of the nineteenth century. I think Catherine Mary on the gravestone was Sydney and Ethel's daughter. Thanks again for these fantastic photos which bring to life ancestors who lived on the other side of the world from me.
