Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I am doing research on the Suffolk artist Henry Davy. George Gibson Davy was his brother. George Gibson Davy was born at Westhall and married Martha Ann Tacon ( I believe Martha to be a member of the brewing family of Eye and I think, from memory, they held land in Wissett). George Gibson Davy died in 1849 aged 62. When they married they moved to Aiskew Hall, Bedale, Yorks. The references for this can be found in an article by A. H. Denny on Henry Davy in the proceedings of the Suffolk Institute of Archaeology and HistoryVolume XXIX, Part 1 between pages 90 and 91 under a two page genealogy entitled Davy of Westhall. George Gibson Davy had a cousin farming in Westhall - I can supply details if required. The article by Denny can be found on the PSIAH site online. I hope you find the information above useful. Robin
