Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

He is a great uncle who was a builder and undertaker. I saw a photo at one time of his name on the side of a building in Addlestone I think it was.other relatives are Reuben and all the family come from Horsell to early 1600's that I can trace.

This is my great uncle who had a building business and was an undertaker in Addlestone. I have a photo of his 'shop' with his name on the end terrace. Others of my family [grand father etc] in Church at Addlestone. I often wonder if the builder who restored St Paul's being a STEER was any relation. being of very senior years I don't think I can be of value as a volunteer. My wife and I in June 2011 emigrated from our birth home Sydney to live in Worthing to be near our children and their families. Strange in that we will end our days here where we started married life in 1957 [both Aus born but I got a job here in England and was sent to Coventry]. Apologies for the story but STEER of Horsell is my family back to late 1500's at predent but lost records due to WW2 may prevent research further back. Have viewed surname list and other than elizabeth may not have any other connections but will check further. Regards Geoffrey
