Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I've just found your site, when I was researching William Wentworth Walker for my cousin, and now I have found some Bate headstones! (My ggg grandfather was William Bate of Tettenhall, Wolverhampton). It's a great site, and I have a few photos of ancestral graves in Liverpool and Ireland which I will upload.

I am directly related to the Bate family, David and Mary Bate were the parents of William and Henry Robert Bate. Joseph Lloyd was the husband of their sister Ann Bate and his brother is the John David Lloyd whose name is on the monument. I am researching my family tree and this information is invaluable, this combination of families established a very profitable Lock manufacturing business.
