James and Ann Bell were married 24 Nov 1754 Kirkbymoorside.
Ann Simpson She was the 5th child of Frances and Mary (Walkington)Simpson. She was born in 1819 in Kirkbymoorside, and died a year later in 1820. A year later in 1821 Mary gave birth to another daughter and they named her Ann also.
Frances Simpson1788501838 Frances Simpson - Born:16 Mar 1788 Lastingham, Yorkshire. Died: Aug 1838 Helmsley, Yorkshire He is the son of Frances Simpson Sr. and Ann Field He married Mary Walkington July 12, 1810 in Yorkshire. His occupation was Shop Keeper and Baker. He and wife Ann had 10 children,3 listed on headstone. His son James and his wife Jane left England for New York in 1842. His son Francis and his wife Elizabeth, and most of their children left England around 1881 for Australia. His grandson John Frances Simpson was a U.S. Sharp Shooter, and then a Sgt. in the Seventh Michigan Cavalry under Col. George Custer during the American Civil War.
John Simpson He was the firstborn child of Frances and Mary (Walkington)Simpson. He was born January 25, 1811 in Kirkbymoorside, and died at 4 almost 4 years of age on January 10, 1815 in Kirkbymoorside.
John Simpson1816211837 He was the 4th child of Frances and Mary (Walkington)Simpson. He was born in Kirkbymoorside in 1816. He died at the age of 21 in 1837, in Kirkbymoorside. His elder brother James immigrated to New York and named his firstborn son John after him.
