Robert Stackpole and Mary Ann had 8 children (Robert, Ann, Mary, Rosetta, John James, Eliza, Agnes and Thomas) ... John James Stackpole (1872 - 1929) the fifth sibling, married Cecilia Rawson (1892 - 1948) in 1908. They had 2 children, Eileen Vincent (1911 - 1992 ... family details unknown) and John Dignan (1912 - 1970?) ... John Dignan married Olga Violet Peterson (1913 - 1956) *Olga's parents were Frank (Frans) Oscar Pettersson (Changed to Peterson) and Florence Cecilia (Possibly of the surname Jenkins). Olga's grandmother was Johanna (Born Ekstrom) from Visby/Levide, Gotland of Sweden. Olga is sister to Norma Baker, Maria (formerly Myrtle), Vera Emery and Hilma (Hilly) Watts of Auckland, New Zealand. ... John (J.D) and Olga married in 1938 ( 4 boys - John, Anthony, Kerry and Michael Frank). *John and Kerry (Children- Nicholas, Andrew, Katy) live in Auckland, New Zealand. Tony (Children - Rebecca, Marcus, Olivia) and Michael (Children - Kay and Wendy) emigrated to Australia. {Other descendants unknown - Information found at 'Janes's Genaology Pages'}
Mary Ann Stackpole1842681910 ~ Mary Ann was born in India in 1842. Her mother was Mary Furlong (1813 - 1890) of Templescoby, Ireland. (Mary Furlong's parents were Mary Murphy and Thomas Furlong of Templescoby) *Mary Furlong eloped with an English soldier by the name of Brown and Mary Ann was the child of this union. (Brown later died). Mary Furlong went on to marry Michael Brennan in Kamptee, India. * Records indicate that Mary and Michael Brennan had 3 children of their own, Rosetta, Thomas and Ellen. They emigrated to New Zealand (with Mary Ann) from England on the ship 'Berhampore', the 7th fencible ship to NZ. They left London on the 7th March 1849, arriving on the 16th June 1849.
