From family member Chris Marie Forest: Charlotte was born on the Isle of Wright to Robert and Elizabeth Gladis Wheeler. She was the wife of James Prince (1791-1736) and helped run an inn at Le Harve, France for officers of the ships in the port. She managed this with her son Alfred and daughter-in-law Ellen. This was also a hotel for wealthy immigrants awaiting ships to America. Alfred provided himself as a guide for the travelers on the ships as well and would travel with them to help get them settled in the new cities, once they arrived. Charlotte is buried with her son Alfred and great grandsons Alfred James III and John Prince.
Alfred Prince1826721898 From relative Chris Forest: Alfred was married to Ellen Boyle a Scottish immigrant to America, in the mid 1850s. They had 4 children: Charlotte and Alfred Jr born in Brooklyn, NY and Catherine and Elenora born in Le Havre, France. Alfred and Ellen helped his mother manage a upscale inn in LeHavre that catered to officers of ships in port and wealthy immigrants, from across Europe, waiting to travel to America.
Alfred James Prince1879751954 From relative Chris Firest: Alfred III was the son of Alfred Jr and Anne Marvis Prince and was born in England. He was married to Jeannie Johnstone, from Scotland on 11 Aug 1906 in Quebec, Canada. He lived there was at least the next 20 years. Jeannie died 8 years later leaving 4 children: Alfred IV, Charles, Margaret and Phillip George. Alfred remarried Marie Vacherat and they had two more daughters Louise and Annie Jenny.
John Prince1886821968 From relative Chris Forest: John was the son of Alfred Jr and Anne Marvis. He was born in England. At some time during his life he traveled to America to make connections to work at the US Consulate in Paris, France. He died there in Paris at the age of 81.
