2779032231Enlisted at the outbreak of World War One in King Edward's Horse, gazetted to the 5th Rifle Brigade later attached to 2nd, died of wounds 3 November 1916 in the Battle of the Somme buried in Grove Town Cemetery, Meaulte, France. Born April 1882, one of the eight children of Francis William and Mary Buxton. A farmer and vet who had lived in South Africa and Argentina. Widowed, two children, one died in infancy.
