12Swiney Swiney1844id: LDNSM92415081781Believed to have been born c.1794; probably the son of Admiral Swiney and related to Sir Humphrey Davey. He was a wealthy and notable eccentric and recluse; who lived in Camden and whose funeral caused considerable local interest and uproar. He left money to the poor; and endowed a lectureship and prize in geology to the Royal Society of Arts.
