I'm one of Charles's volunteers - I'd recommend it as a hobby, especially if like me you're new to an area. It's amazing how much you learn about local history from old churches. My problem is I live in Surrey, but most of my ancestors came from Hull, Rugby or Leicester and so far no-one has photographed any of their graves. I'm appealing for anyone who lives near cemeteries in any of these places to please donate some photographs to the resource. Also if you add the areas you are interested in to your messages it may encourage people who live in those areas to send in some photographs, and before long we could have covered the entire country!
