ARTHURS Wrong information Hi, I was looking at the records of my parents grave in Brantham Suffolk. My parents are Dennis Leslie Arthurs and Marion Florence Arthurs. Someone has recorded it wrong. My mother Marion was born in 1936 not 1928. Her name is spelt Marion and not Marrion. Someone has misread it. To clarify, Dennis Arthurs born 1928 died 1988 and Marion Arthurs born 1936 and died 1989. Hope this can be rectified. Thanks for all your hard work, Laurence Arthurs. .... more

NEWMANA big thank youThanks again for a wonderful research resource. Sometimes it’s easier to work your way backwards from a cemetery plot when you’re researching your Family history and this has proved indispensable in my research as I said before much appreciation to those that keep the site running. One piece of feedback I’m not sure how practical it is given the the age of the site. Many of the images of the gravestones are at a fairly low resolution so it is hard to pick up details on the grave stone. .... more

GOODEllen Good - Quambatook CemeteryDear Reader, the indexed date for this burial is 1956. However, in the description, it says that she is from Longford county: the problem is that these two pieces of information do not match. I have downloaded the picture, but it is not clear enough to be able to read. I do however, have a description of what is written on the gravestone, and there are no other people of the same name in the cemetery. It will e irresponsible of me to just put two n' two together, without determining the facts first.

Excellent so farThis has been a real help, but I think there should be links to other sites where photos can be found. For example: theus.org.uk/category/find-grave scottishjewishcemeteries.org/search.html Of course,it would be wonderful if more graves could be photographed. The one I found Sylvia Bellman in had only been 10% photographed.

DENHOLMD J Denholm War Memorial Port StanleyI was overwhelmed to see a source for a DJ Denholm. I have been searching for information on my grandfather for over 10 years. I'm not sure if I have found him but it gives me hope. My mum died in 2010 not knowing very much about him as her mum died in 1933. Thank you Barbara

IRVINE AND ROARKVery helpful resourceI was trying to ascertain whether a gentleman who had written to a family member about possible family connections was still alive. Sadly he has passed away and the image of his plaque confirmed the identity of the letter writer.
