Possible relative of my gt gt grandfather Francis McKay
(requested on 11 04 2013)
My relationship is pretty distant (Archibald Campbell is the first cousin of the husband of a niece of the husband of a second cousin twice removed), but I'm trying to find closer relationships with my closest Y-DNA matches whose ancestors come from this general area.

This monument has the details of my Great Great Great Grandparents along with my Great Great Aunt and her family. Johan and Archibald Campbell took in my Great Grandmother when her mother died when she was 8 years old. I've been looking for information about what happened to her between 8 and 22 for a long time and thanks to your website and Scotlands People I've had a break through tonight on many levels. Thank you so much for the service you provide

(requested on 21 01 2020)
Family rumor is that Archibald and Johan Campbell's daughter, Alice (Hay - b. 1880), actually adopted her daughter Alice (Adams - b. 1912) from a relative before leaving Wick for Detroit. I'm trying to research who her real parent could have been.
