Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Another of the Tranmer clan originating from the Scalby, Yorkshire area. Matthew and his wife Mary nee Coulson ended up living in Scarborough and obviously must have lost a child there. Matthew was a 1st cousin about 5 times removed.

Matthew Tranmer is my 4th great granduncle.

I think there is a strong chance that you and I are also related. My 5th great (maternal) grandmother was Elizabeth Tranmar, born Folkton, Yorkshire abt. 1750. Her husband was Thomas Ezard. Tranmar being so unusual a name and there evidently being so few I think the relationship is almost certain to exist. Many thanks. Tony Lee.
