Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

As part of my house history research I discovered that Robert Forrest Tod owned my house between the years 1891 and 1903. I was interested to find out more about him. Although I had looked at the Census details for 1861 to 1901, have a copy of his will and various other research material, your grave stone details gave me more information. I never knew he had a brother who died when he was only 8 and a sister who died when he was 9. Thank you for your time and effort. Caroline Howkins

I believe that This gentleman was the owner of a Epsom Derby runner in 1902, and I am very interested in horse racing history & memorabilia. I believe he last resided at Rabley Park, Herts., but his executors were G. Gibson Tod and Thomas Wardie Tod (brothers I presume) who were both interred at Corstophine. He was quite successful despite not winning the Derby and operated a stud at Rabley Park.
