Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Trying to trace family history and any help would be appreciated although my name is Selkirk, my 5X Great Grandfather and his son were both Selkrig
(requested on 18 04 2012)
Robert Selkrig owned a large estate in Demerara in the early 19th century and he features in a free-to-access online database of slave-owners which will be published by UCL in February 2013 (www.ucl.ac.uk/lbs). I'm trying to establish his family tree and would be very grateful for a copy of this image. Also, the information on your site doesn't tally exactly with the information I have so far, and I was wondering if there might be a mistake in the transcription!
(requested on 02 01 2013)
I am descended from the Selkirks of Prestonpans and these Selkrigs, who descend from the Selkrigs of Newton, are possible relations. These Selkrigs married into the family of the Hays of Hopes, who are descended from the first Hay Earl of Tweeddale.
