Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

He was the common ancestor to both of my parents: my paternal Gx2 grandfather and my maternal Gx3 grandfather. The sons of two of William's sons came to Australia independently. My father was James Cole Landry and my mother was Irene Alison Landry. The spelling changed from Laundry to Landry during William's lifetime. His wife was Hannah Pomeroy.

I am a direct descendent.

William Landry is my husband (Barry Middleton)'s great, great, great grandfather. Barry's grandmother was Harriet Annie Landry, whose father, Richard Gumb Landry came out to Australia from Callington as a young man. I am doing our family history, and we hope to visit Callington, from Australia, in about a months time (July 2019).
