Reasons why the image for this monument was requested

I believe Alexander to be a cousin of my father George Drummond. Alexander Drummond died 17 Sept 1941 age 39 dob 23 Feb 1902 Greenock, Scotland. However I am unsure why Alexander would be memorialised here as to the best of my knowledge he died in Bury St Edmunds. If there is a record in the church register that might be a guide if I have the correct Alexander!
I want to know if the listing is any relation, long story but seeing the monument might help
