Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

My mother's maiden name was Horner and I am tracing my relatives in the Thirsk area - I was born in Northallerton.
(requested on 27 11 2011)
my mother's (Cynthia Bel Whitteron Wigmore) family name was Horner. She, her father, John Henry Horner who married Bel Whitteron in 1915 & sister Margaret Yvonne Horner all come from Thirsk. The Horner family had butcher's shops in the market place for many years and my grndfather (John Henry) had a cafe in Finkle Street. I am not sure if the people in this grave are close relations, but they might be. sincerely yours John Wigmore.
