1810151795first name on monumentHenry Tuite, eldest son of Hugh Tuite and his wife Sarah Elizabeth, nee Chenevix, was born in Sonna, co Westmeath on 12 December 1793 and died at Llangollen on 13 September 1810 aged 16. The Gentleman's Magazine Vol. LXXX Jul-Dec 1810: SEPT 13. At Langollen (sic), in North Wales, on his way to Madeira, where he had been ordered for his health, Mr Henry Tuite, eldest son of Hugh Tuite, of Sonna, in the county of Westmeath, Esq. This young gentleman was brought to an untimely grave by a rapid decline at the age of 16.

Hugh Tuite, born 1747, married Sarah Elizabeth Chenevix, daughter of Lt-Col Daniel Chenevix Royal Irish Artillery and of Ballycommon, King's Co., in Edinburgh on 08 November 1792. Annals of Westmeath by James Woods, 1907: Hugh Tuite, born 1747, entered the army, was in the 14th Light Dragoons, and attained the rank of Captain in the 39th regiment of foot, in which he served twelve years at Gibraltar, three years of which was during the blockade. He there made a prisoner of Baron Von Helmstadt, and received his sword.
