Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I am preparing an exhibition at Wrest Park in Bedfordshire about the role of the house as a hospital during the First World War. Edith Mary Taylor was one of the nurses who served in the hospital. Her autograph book survives and is now in the Imperial War Museum. I am currently compiling a short biography of Edith for inclusion in the exhibition.
