Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I am compiling a list of Anglo-Boer War Memorials - www.casus-belli.co.uk/abwmp and this is a new memorial. I will only use the image to take details of the memorial and inscription. The photo will not be published. In my database GPR is noted as the source. Thanks & regards Mr Meurig Jones

FREDERICK ELTON (HERE AFTER FREDERICK) WAS MY GREAT GREAT GRANDFATHER. HE WAS BORN IN ENGLAND IN 1850 (APPROX) , SERVED AS ASSISTANT PAYMASTER AND CLERK IN THE BRITISH NAVY AND AFTERWARDS AS BRITISH VICE CONSUL IN MY COUNTRY, CHILE, WHERE HE MARRIED MRS. DORA LAWRENCE, DAUGHTER OF WILLIAM LAWRENCE (BRITISH CONSUL IN CONCEPCION, AT THAT TIME THE THIRD MOST IMPORTANT CITY OF CHILE). IN HIS WEDDING CERTIFICATE (ISSUED IN CONCEPCION IN 1875) HE MENTIONED HIS FATHER'S NAME, ALREADY DEAD, WAS FREDERICK B. ACCORDING TO FAMILY ORAL TRADITION HIS FATHER HAD SERVED IN THE BRITISH ARMY IN INDIA. ALL THESE SUGGESTS HIS FATHER WAS FREDERICK BAYARD ELTON. THE ONLY PIECE OF INFORMATION THAT DOESN'T FIT THE INFORMATION I HAVE FOUND ABOUT FREDERICK BAYARD ELTON IS THAT IN THE PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED WEDDING CERTIFICATE, MY ANCESTOR MENTIONED HIS MOTHER'S NAME WAS MARIA WATSON. IT SEEMS HE WAS AN ORPHAN BUT ACCORDING TO THE INFORMATION I READ HERE FREDERICK BAYARD PASSED AWAY IN 1877. SUMMING UP, I HAVE SOME INFORMATION THAT SUGGESTS HIS FATHER COULD HVE BEEN FREDERICK BAYARD ALTHOUGH I ALSO HAVE SOME OTHER SUGGESTING THIS COULDN'T HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE. IT'D BE GREAT IF YOU CAN SEND ME THIESE IMAGES AND ALSO IF YOU ACCEPT ME TO GET IN CONTACT WITH YOU IN ORDER TO TRACE MY FAMILY HISTORY ON THE ELTON SIDE BACK IN TIME. MANY THANKS. JUAN PRICE ELTON.
