Mary Howlett (b. 1788, Cambridgeshire d. 1858, Thetford) married Thomas King (b. 1789 or 1790, Southmoor in Berkshire d. 1869, Thetford) on the 10 April 1825 in Thetford. They had two children; William King born in 1827 and Elizabeth King born in 1829, Thetford. Mary is Thomas King’s second wife. His first wife Elizabeth Smith passed away in 1824 aged 38, leaving Thomas with two young daughters; Mary aged 4 (who is my third great grandmother) and Ann aged 2. In the census of 1841 the family is residing in Back Street, Prospect Row, Thetford. Thank you so much for the care taken in photographing Mary’s headstone and making it accessible. Mary King was the second wife of my Great, Great, Great Grandfather, Thomas King. She is the mother of my Great, Great, Grandfather, William King. Both Thomas and William are also buried in Section A, London Road Cemetery, Thetford.
