I am researching William who is my 2 x Great Grandfather and was master of the fishing smack Eliza (He was at sea when the 1881 census was taken). Thank you for providing this facility.

it is my Great Great Grandad so of significant interest to me and my family William Palmer was the father of Henrietta Cook who married Charles Cook who had my Dad Winston Henry Cook

I think that there may be a family connection - My Paddison line goes back to Brigsley in Lincolnshire and I think that William's father may be one of that family. I think that his father might be James Paddison. I get confused with my line of Paddisons as they are called either John or William. I think that my gt grt grt grandfather was William the brother of James. Many thanks for your help

The Paddison Family are a significant part of my family tree, my paternal Grandmother was a Paddison and my parents were cousins. William Paddison is a distant cousin but unravelling the various Paddison lines is very much a work in progress. Many thanks for providing this excellent resource.
