Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

William and Ann Thorpe are my great-great grandparents on my father's mother's side (all from Pateley Bridge. I am still looking for William's ancestry as well as Ann's nee name (we think it may have been Darnbrook). I have published a book called Arthur-Quebec-Thorpe; the Thorpe portion chronicles my Thorpe ancestors. I will be happy to send you a free copy (either print and/or PDF for your research files. -- Stan Colson

Hi, don't require image as we own the gravestone and photographed it when we had it placed in this spot. However we would be gratefull if you could inform us of any other interest in this gravestone, as there is a very complicated story to it ! Best regards and thanks, Mr & Mrs Thorpe.

William and Ann Thorpe are my 4th great grandparents. They died in England and I am in Canada with little hope of being able to come take a picture myself in the near future. I would really appreciate being able to include this picture in my family tree and would love for you to share my contact info with any other cousins who contact you. My mother left England at age 3 and has never been back. It is exciting to find info about her family to share with her. Thank you, Shauna Crouter MacEachern

I would like to add a picture of this Headstone to my Ancestors profile on Ancestry. BTW, my family tree on Ancestry is public. I hope this does not deter you from sending a picture.
