Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Ralph Melville Archer, was the only son Alexander Thomson Archer & Elizabeth nee Ruddock, of Southampton. Alexander had six siblings,they and his parents all went to Australia & New Zealand. Therefore Ralph was the last Archer link we had with England.(he died without issue) I have been searching for his death/burial for years, thanks to British digital newspapers, and by chance finding your terrific site, I can now put him to rest.! He was a Professor of Physics, and taught in Derby, (where I have been searcing fruitlessly for him),but according to the newspaper he died at 116 Beading road Farnborough,where he had worked at the Air Force Experimental Establishment since about 1918.
