325LewcockDouglas Albert Lewcock1918721990id: 3701351082641I believe Douglas Lewcock came from Hampton Hill, possibly Windmill Road, where he got to know the Britton and Maiden families. He fought in Malaya, I think with the East Surreys, where he was taken captive by the Japanese and forced to work on the Death Railway along with George Britton, one of the few survivors of the Singapore Hospital Massacre. Upon his return he was George's best man upon his marriage in 1949. Douglas was married to (Madge?) and lived in Molesey. His wife survived him. I think he had a daughter, Michelle.
