All Saints' Church burial ground, Greetham

Greetham village is a tiny community in the Lincolnshire Wolds, to the east of Horncastle. The Church is Grade II listed and was extensively restored in 1903. It is constructed of Greenstone, Red Brick and some half timbering. There is a bell cote with a single bell arch. The stained glass windows are very beautiful and the church has retained its wooden pews. This is a small church with impressive proportions despite being knocked about by various restorations.

The charming gate leads through a short avenue of trees to the porch entrance. Some care has been taken to make the front of the church neat with frequent mowings. Toward the back of the graveyard, the ground falls away from the church very steeply. Perhaps as a result of this, the ground is uneven and few stones are left standing at the rear of the church. Those that remain are frequently at a severe slant and the wet moss growing on some of the stones as well as the sturdy brambles and weeds will render them unreadable very soon.

The GPR holds 34 grave and 68 person records for the burial ground.
