BOOREResponding to a family member trying to trace us.The late Syd and Anna Boore are buried in Church Road Cemetery, Old Windsor, Berks. I noticed when carrying out some investigations that someone had left a comment on Syd and Anna's memorial page that they are trying to trace family. I am one of Syd and Anna's Grandsons. There are others, and Grand daughters, and many other family members which may be of interest to the searcher.

HILDREDGrave marker of Elizabeth Pocklington Hildred (b. 1815, d. 1848) in All Saints Church Cemetery in HoI am working on my family history over here in Wisconsin, USA. My family is from Lincolnshire and we still have someone living on the family farm purchased in 1856 by Sam Hildred of Lincolnshire. Samuel Hildred was born November 11, 1811 in his mother’s village of Belleau and Aby, Lincolnshire, England and passed away on August 12, 1897 in Saxeville, Wisconsin. Sam lived 29 years after the passing of daughter Christiana Hildred Roemer and his second wife Ellen Hildred in 1868, and 17 years after his third wife Judith passed in1880. During that time, he worked hand-in-hand with grandchildren Arthur and Frances Roemer, sold the farm to grandson Arthur in 1890 and helped raise his great-grandchildren Pearl and Anthony Roemer. On May 14, 1841 at St. Adelwold's in Alvingham Sam married Elizabeth Pocklington from Aby. Sam and Elizabeth later moved 30 miles south to Kirton-in-Holland, where their daughter Christiana was born. Elizabeth died in May 1848 and is buried in at All Saints Church in Holland Fen. Later in 1850, Sam married his second wife Eleanor and together they all emigrated from England to the United States with daughter Christiana. Christiana married Carl Roemer from the farm directly southwest of the Hildred homestead in Saxeville. Their children were Arthur (b. 1861), Frances (b. 1863) and Samuel (b. 1866). Christiana passed away on February 3, 1868 at age 25 and Eleanor on December 5, 1868 after taking care of her step-daughter. Eleanor and Christiana are buried side by side in Saxeville, Wisconsin. I would like to complete the family and find the grave marker of Elizabeth in Holland Fen.

BEKAERTBelgian Military Grave for Gustaaf BEKAERT,Hi, I am helping an elderly Belgian gentleman who is now unable to visit Britain to complete his work obtaining photographs of all the Belgian soldiers who died in Britain during World War 1. To date he has collected 21,716 named Belgian WWI war grave photographs. He believes there is a maximum possible of about 23,000. So that's a good 94%. He informs me that there is a Belgian Military Grave for BEKAERT, Gustaaf, born in Gent, 25 Sep 1880, died at Harrogate 04/03/1915 and who is buried in Grove Road Cem. Grave K. Border 273. Would it be possible for one of the volunteer photographers to send me a digital photo of the grave / headstone, and possibly a picture showing the background setting? Rene informs me that for the collection he requires good quality photos e.g. about 4 mbyte size as he shows them at a large magnification. My early photos which I had reduced in size for transmission had to be resent individually as I exceeded my email account limit. I would be most grateful if you could help me support this project. Any photos can be sent to my above email address Many Thanks, John Curtis

LARAMANResearching the Laraman's from Faversham and WhitstableI would be so interested to link up with any fellow researchers working on the Laraman's from Whitstable or Faversham. I have fairly good data drawn from census etc, but it would be fascinating to know if any distant relatives are still local for me to liaise with. I thank anyone who is kind enough to take the time to respond. My connection is that my great grandfather married a Laraman from Whitstable. Thanks again. Laurence

GUYLEEGravestone image readible difficultyDear Sir, I wish to thank you so very much for sending to me ever so promptly the photo that I requested from The Banks Municipal Cemetery in Bingham, Nottinghamshire. I am referring to photo image BC CW 070; Grave Marker #465738 with Arthur Martin as the first person on the stone. The image that was sent is very lovely to have for our genealogical records especially since we live in Canada. However, I am wondering if the photographer of this stone has a written record of how the stone reads I would be forever grateful for that as well since the image is nearly impossible to read clearly the inscriptions for Arthur Martin, his wife; Elizabeth Martin, his daughter; Hannah Elizabeth Martin and his other daughter; Edith Whitley Guylee who is the ancestor that I am tracing. I am still delighted to have the photo of her final resting place but I would be very happy to know exactly what is written on the stone. The service that you provide to researchers like myself is phenomenal and it is a great asset to all of my fellow family historians alike. From the bottom of my heart, thank you very much for all the work that you do free of charge for us all.

MANYSt Michaels Alnwick Northumberland England Dear GPR I am chairman of Alnwick Family History Society. We are very anxious to produce on our website the ability for the many visitors to our town to be able to see whether their ancestor lies buried in St Micheals churchyard. We would be delighted to give GPR any credit required and include your URL and the GPR ref if you wished, but can we ask for a big favour please? Could you possibly send me an Excel of the data on St Michaels graveyard Alnwick Northumberland England pages as shown on your website. It will save us approx 200 working hours of manually writing down each grave, so would be an unbelievable godsend. I see that you say that the graves are 80% pictured. Given this information I could definitely try to raise at least one volunteer to complete the process in return. Many Regards Dudley George Chairman Alnwick Branch NDFHS PS I would have sent you the URL of our microsite on the Bailiffgate Museum Alnwick website, but when I did my previous messge was zapped by your filters..
